What a maintenance visit covers

A regular maintenance visit is different from a mow. Where mowing is about the lawn, maintenance is about everything else: garden beds, shrubs, edges, and the overall presentation of the property.

Each visit covers weeding of all accessible garden beds, tidy pruning of shrubs under 2 m, removal of dead material and leaf accumulation, and a blow-down of paths and outdoor living areas. For gardens with a mix of lawn and beds, we can combine mowing and maintenance into a single visit at a bundled rate.

Weeding — all accessible beds
Shrub tidy — under 2 m only
Dead material removed
Leaf and debris cleared
Paths and areas blown down

One-off garden tidy

A single visit to bring the garden to a neat state, without any ongoing commitment. Popular before a party, an open home, or at the end of winter when things have gotten away. A standard property tidy is $150-$350 depending on garden size and how much work has accumulated.

Return-to-neat

For gardens that have been seriously neglected for months rather than weeks. High grass in beds, completely overgrown shrubs, thick weed cover, accumulated debris from multiple seasons. A return-to-neat visit is priced at $350-$800 for a standard property, with larger or more challenging gardens quoted individually.

After a return-to-neat, most customers move onto a regular monthly or fortnightly plan. The cost of ongoing maintenance is significantly lower once the garden is in a manageable state.

What we do not do: chemical weed spraying requires an AQF3 pesticide application licence, which we do not currently hold. For heavy weed infestations that require chemical treatment, we can refer you to a licensed operator. We handle mechanical weeding on all regular maintenance visits.

Common questions

How much does garden maintenance cost in Sydney?

Regular monthly maintenance for a standard Sydney suburban property runs $150-$250 per visit. A one-off tidy is $150-$350. Pricing depends on garden size, how many beds need weeding, and how much shrub pruning is involved. We do not charge extra for leaf accumulation within a standard visit.

How often should I get my garden maintained?

Most established gardens need maintenance monthly through autumn and winter, stepping up to fortnightly in spring when growth is fastest (September through November in Sydney). Simpler gardens with fewer beds may do well on quarterly visits outside of spring. We will suggest a frequency after the first visit.

Can you combine mowing and garden maintenance?

Yes. A combined mow plus maintenance visit is our most popular service for households that want everything handled in one go. We bundle the two services at a small discount compared to booking them separately. Select the maintenance plan at booking and note that you also want mowing included.

Do you do weed spraying?

No. Chemical weed spraying requires an AQF3 pesticide application licence. We do not currently hold that certification. We handle all mechanical weeding on maintenance visits — pulling and hoeing — which is sufficient for most garden beds. For heavy or persistent infestations that need chemical treatment, we can refer you to a licensed operator.

What size properties do you maintain?

Typical Sydney suburban blocks from 200 sqm to around 2,000 sqm. Larger rural or semi-rural properties are outside our standard range but worth a call to discuss. The practical limit is how much one person can properly maintain in a single visit while keeping the quality we promise.
