Every price on this site, and every quote, comes from the same rules. Here they are in full, so you can check any price yourself.
Time on site for lawns. Worked out from time on site. 10 minutes to set up, then each lawn area is mowed at 250 m² an hour for the first 50 m², 350 m² an hour up to 100 m², 500 m² an hour beyond that (each square metre at its own band’s speed), plus edging and blowing along its edges. Mowing takes 5% longer for every week since the last mow beyond 2. The time is charged at $150 an hour, with a 30-minute minimum, rounded to the nearest $5. Regular visits are 5% less. Each lawn area you draw is worked out on its own, because separate areas each need their own edging and moving around.

When you get your price, you answer a few questions for each thing you drew: when the lawn was last mowed, how tall the hedge is, what the surface is. Each answer changes the price or the time by a set amount, shown in the “What changes the price” table on each service page. Nothing is guessed: the same answers always give the same price.
If you book several services in one visit, you pay the call-out once (the highest one), not once per service.
Mowing, hedges, garden beds and gutters are cheapest as regular visits. Regular lawn mowing is 5% less than a one-off mow; a one-off hedge, garden or gutter visit costs 30% more. If the first visit needs extra work (long grass, overgrown beds, a hedge that has grown out), only the first visit costs more; later visits are the regular price.
Every visit costs at least $75. Lawns are charged for at least 30 minutes. Other services are never charged at less than $150 per hour of work on site, so the price always covers the time the job takes.
